Intravartolo Wine’s Drink With Sunday Sauce™ is a premium, Santa Barbara County, California-made red wine blend reminiscent of the Italian “Super Tuscan” wine style, featuring Italy’s most planted grape- Sangiovese. What This Wine Tastes Like

Drink With Sunday Sauce™ is easy-drinking and approachable with a unique combination of prominent red fruit flavors. You’re greeted with indulgent aromas of sour cherry, rhubarb, and black raspberry accented by notes of basil, sage, and black peppercorns. On the first sip, you’ll notice the mouthwatering acidity that transitions into flavors of blackberry, dark cherry, tobacco leaves, mushrooms, and a subtle hint of chocolate, before culminating in a long, warm finish.

Foods to Pair With This Wine

We are working on a full list of recipes and recommendations for you, but in the meantime feel free to pair this wine with anything that includes a tomato-based marinara or pomodoro sauce: pizza, pasta with meatballs and red sauce, braciole,  cioppino, lasagna, baked ziti or rigatoni. Winemaking Detail

The grapes for 2021 Drink With Sunday Sauce™ were hand harvested from four vineyards across Santa Barbara County, three of which are located in the acclaimed Santa Ynez Valley. In late October and early November 2021, these grapes were crushed, cold soaked, fermented and pressed into four separate lots. Each lot of wine was aged for seven months before being blended together and aged for an additional 11 months in French oak.

Cellaring
The 2021 Drink With Sunday Sauce™ can be enjoyed now and for up to an additional 3-4 years if stored in proper conditions.
